Engine tries to overheat at low speeds or high rpm idle. New radiator, thermostat, and coolant. I think I may have a bum fan clutch. If I simply "lock" the clutch assembly up so that the fan spins full time, would this cause any problems? I am guessing the clutch either keeps the motor from staying too cool or it keeps the fan from spinning too fast, I'm not sure which exactly. But if it spins all the time, is my only concern a motor that runs cool?
I've got a spare clutch, but just wanted to check about this. Thanks.
