Dick,

Assuming the power required by that unit is 12vDC and needs less current than what the maximum current the cigarette adapter is rated for, then you should be able too.

Also, make absolutely sure you don't accidentally reverse the polarity (do it once & you could be looking at an expensive paperweight instead of a DVD player).
