I was reading the ap site about the 56" leaves, and from what I was reading, I was a little confused. From what I am getting from the page, it seems that the 56" leaves will bolt right up to an 89-95 pickup. Is this true?

You can retain the existing shackle hanger in back. The stock '89 springs are 51" long, and the extra 5" on the longer springs is all in the front half.

I'm running 56" Alcans on an '85 4Runner and only did the front hanger, running the stock shackle hanger and a 3.5" longer shackle:

56" spring install

might be an odd ball question but couldn't you take the 56" springs and have them re-arched at a spring shop to fit onto the factory placed spring plates and shakle hangers or would it after time have to much strain on the hangers ?????

Having them arched to fit into stock hangers would do 2 things. One it would probobly give you about 10" of lift. Two, it would defeat the pourpose of having them. The reason to switch to them is so that you can have lots of lift with little arch. This gives you much better flex off road.

Wont the longer leafs and repositioned spring mounts move your axle 1.5" or so forward, thus giving you more firewall/tire clearance? I thought that was the main advantage of longer leafs.
