A buddy of mine used to run SSR's. We concluded that they suck. Here's a pic.

On another forum my friend posted this about his SSR's:

One trail was all the lugs would last for on SSRs (if the sidewall wasn't punctured). After that they were essentially missing quite a few lugs and looked like crap - generally they still held air though. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Of course, this is on a 5000lb rig and evidently they do much better on lighter vehicles. I did have multiple sidewall tears with mine and I have been MUCH happier with the MTRs than the SSRs but as always YMMV. The SSRs did seem to hook up fairly well but certainly for me they were inadequate. Honestly, with all the new tires available, such as Krawlers, Xterrains (the 37's in particular), PJs, MTRs, maybe the new Maxxis, and the new Toyo's and Nitto's I would be hard pressed to ever buy another set of tires from Interco for my rig. Before I bought them a couple of years ago I found nothing but positive reviews. Boy, was I disappointed after I got them. Maybe I just had a bad dozen or so. (Be sure to get the replacement warranty if you go that way)! One more thing - this was with 37" SSRs. Other sizes may not have these issues so as always YMMV!
