from what I understand, I believe ORS also asks for both the 3.0 and the 3.4 harnesses as a core. they may or may not use your wires to make the harness.
You didn't read my post closely. Also, the kit includes much more than the harness. Mike is feeling out the market, really, and seeing what parts can be left out (to save you $$$) and what parts people are willing to pay for to save effort, and how much, and if its worth his time.
Hey, wish you the best on the harness endeavor, the more the merrier!
Compete, absolutely.
Post for free, you bet.
Dis, don't do it.
I know Mike and he is completely on the up and up. Good guy, good innovator, trying to make a living doing what we do for fun. Keep that in mind. TeamShiftPoint, not directing this at you in particular, I just get tired of folks saying "Geez, what a ripoff, its only wires, how hard could it be?" I know you aren't saying that, I assume you did a quality job, but for posterity... I used to work quality on the electronics line at our local rocket ranch and I can tell you, clean weathertight traceable vibe-resistant ultra-reliable harnesses are harder than they look. In fact, making it look simple, clean and easy is part of what makes it so hard. Mike does top quality, honest work and he has my support because of it. Marlin does too. So do some others.
Specifics:
As mentioned by this charletain <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/oink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />you need to contact Mike Caskey. Why? He is a pretty busy guy who doesn't sit in front of a computer for a living like most of us seem to <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />.
So if you call him, and say you heard a rumor (from me if you want to say it), and what parts of it are true, how much is he thinking, and you are suddenly interested... he gets highly motivated, which works for him and us too. KnowwhutImeanvern? Of course, money talks, used oats walk.
