Previous Thread Next Thread Print Thread Rate Thread Re: Blowing oil [Re: JeepMedic] #377261 01/10/04 01:03 AM Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 466 Grand Junction, CO jstritec Mudrunner I'm no expert by any means, but... sounds like it is building up pressure in the crankcase, and the oil is escaping through the dipstick tube. you might want to check/replace the PCV valve (they're cheap)and make sure the Crankcase vent is not plugged. It could be that the rings are bad and the pressure from the cylinders is leaking by and overpressurizing the crankcase. josh 80 CJ-7.
