It is a sad story, the snow is going away this time, but in the other hand we`re getting the mud, but I`m not that sure if I like the mud more than the snow.. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/sleeping.gif" alt="" /> Just thinking..

Very nice rigs and nice snow pics! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> How can I get my hands on some of those fender flares, but without the flare connecting to mud flaps or the side steps.

In Colorado when I was wheelin in stuff that deep, I always went big lug chains all around to break up the stuff that starts to pack up in front of the wheels. Otherwise the tires melt it into an ice pack that quickly turns into an ramp in front of the tires which stops you cold.


The right combination of bigger and wider tires and wider wheels and M/T tread pattern is all you need. Chains are only useful on smaller tires wich have no floating capability what so ever. Usually referd to as CD's over here since they do the same thing in snow.
