Hey guys & gals,
I'm looking for some advice on what to expect trying to get 35's under my 1995 Trooper. The factory measurements on the tires are 34.99 inches, so they are diffinately big. I'm ok with a little bit of rubbing.
Thanks for the info.
Mark

Smiley,
Well, I actually thought about setting up a new screen name so everyone didn't know but...then I would get the "welcome to the board...there is a search function...ect..." When I really was just hoping to get the facts. Even though the 35's surprise is out, there is still many more surprises to be seen <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />.

I would consult Gilbert aka "trooperdude"...he has the most "built" IFS 2nd gen Trooper I can think of, though I don't think he has 35s.

Just off the top of my head, I'll bet that a PM to ænhÆ might yield some answers.
HeÆs selling his 1993 RS w/ 35ö MTRs, but just looking at the photos of his rig, IÆm pretty sure he could tell you everything you wanna know.

In order to get my 35x12.5x15 to fit I have 3.5 suspension lift which consists of OME coils and 2" poly spacers and cranked up Sway-a-way 31.5mm torsion bars and a 3" body lift. I also had to cut the rear of the front fenders back about 2". I believe my backspacing on my rims is 4.25" You'll also have to limit your turning radius a bit because it will rub on the sway bars and bumper bracket.
Good luck
Gilbert

Yeah that was my Recipe. I also have the 2" spacers. But I did my Math from what I thought were the masters the icelandic guys if you look at there wheelspacers that they are using it gives the ball park figure of 2" back spacing you still have to do some fender re-assignment (I was watching discovery it sounds intersting) I trimmed it back about 1-2" But I still need a little BFH work on the inside. I think that the Coils are a little soft so I plan on installing airbags for when I carry weight I rub on the turns. Well good luck.

Erick

P.S. Look for More power before you loose it, a clean exhaust, good air filter. Or else you will be forced to re-gear at where I am now I could wait it doesn't hurt me. powerwise.

Thanks Guys,
Just what I was figuring. However (Drake) the back spacing is quite more than I had put together on paper, I had figured aorund 3.5" to 4.5".
Guess it is time to place a call for parts.
