what is more durable about it? they use many of the same parts including, and most importantly, the engine. is there more quality put into the interior or the drive train?

i do not want to get into a 4runner vs. land cruiser debate. the reason that i said that the 4runner was a better off-road vehicle was because - toyota markets the 4runner as their most capable off-road vehicle, it has better water fording capabilities, a tighter turning radius, better angles of approach (same departure angles), a shorter wheel base, but less ground clearance.

i am sure that you could debate me on each one of those issues, maybe jeep will "trail rate" the two for us <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. what i am really looking for, however, is justification for spending the extra $ on a cruiser. it is my wife's dream vehicle, i would be very happy with a new runner though. once again, would love to hear from you.
