I used a thru core mounting also .. and i've wheeled it very hard for couple of months now .. its still fine .. but the variable switch broke on me .. probably because its not water proof and my sportage gets really submerged .. good thing i got 3 way overide toggle switch .. auto(uses variable switch), off and on... so when my variable switch pooped out on me, it could have over heat but i switched it to <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />n" so it was ok .. now we gotta take the var switch off..
