i dont see why the hell people dont just weld the tube under the frame,,(works in the ass end from the factory),,,,hello, it would not only make bigger tires track a little better( caster angle), but would also be much easyier,,,,,but yes on the downside,it throws off the pinion angle,,,,,,,never mind me or the beer in my hand ,or the man behind the screen.....toto were not in kansas anymore..... People do... but it opens up some other problems: *Pinion angle... *Caster... too much can be as bad as not enough. *Roll-steer because the axle moves back more as the spring compresses. *Roll axis is raised. The first three issues could be addressed with a larger drop hanger, you'll have a taller rig and more to hit on approach. You could also cut and turn the knuckles to address the first two. Plus, you'll have the spring hanging down farther behind the tire. I'd just go through the frame...

I just got done drilling mine using the 1/4" pilot hole and then the 1/4" rod method. I had to torch out the internal webbing, but it was easy, 15 seconds. The bi-metal hole saw cuts fast, almost no forward pressure needed. I did use cutting/tapping oil. I used the gun sight method to check if they were straight, but my holes were a tiny bit off. So I oblonged them with the hole saw a bit and now they line up great. Time to tack weld! (tommorrow maybe)

Look'n good Anthony! I'm surprised Mike isn't there watching to give tips and avoid his own pitfalls. Two heads are better than one.
