I have a friend who said he'd do the body lift for me (was thinking 2") if I wanted it, but didn't I read with an automatic you get into having issues with the steering column or drive shaft or something?

I did a 2 inch body lift and there is some cutting of the firewall plate around the steering column, but a small jigsaw solved that. Also had to weld an extension on the 4x4 shifter to avoid cutting the sheet metal of the body, which makes the boot not fit right. Body lift is cheap but takes a lot of hours and I still have a squeek in the cab behind the drivers side.
