I'm not sure if this is old information, but it was news to me. I just got my 4Runner inspected today and the only item the inspector noted was that my fog lights on my TJM bumper should be covered.

I thought if the fogs were no higher then the headlights, there would be no problems. He was very nice and didn't write up the lack of covers. He suggested that I pick up a pair of soft covers and throw them in the back of the truck in case some cop decides to cite me for lack of covers.

Anyone else get surprised at a state inspection?
