Anybody heard anything about GM developing a 60 degree 3.9L V6??? I've got a 1st Gen Troop waiting for an engine - maybe I should wait a little more?

is the gm swap that easy and cheap? because last time i checked the newer isuzu engines do 230 stock and the new direct inject does 250. also there is a supercharger made for the isuzus. furthermore, why do a V6 to V6 swap why not a small block V8??? i've been wonderin all this for a while.

gen1 trooper V6's are a chevy 2.8l with about 120 horsepower.

currently a 3.4l is a near bolt-in swap while a SBC V8 would involve tons of fab and such.

That should answer your questions.
