If any of you guys are computer guys... I found a good use for old harddrives.

If you disassemble the harddrive you will see a pair of SUPER STRONG magnets. I removed these and stuck one on each differential drain plug, and on the transmission drain plug. The concept is the same as any of those $20+ magnetic drain plugs, except the harddrive ones are stronger by several orders of magnitude <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I like keeping metal shavings out of moving parts, and I thought I'd share that with you guys. When you remove the plug after having the magnet on there, the first stream of liquid that comes out will be grey... that's like the shavings that were stuck to the magnetized area.

P.S. Don't get your finger caught between the magnet and the differential... it'll stick to it hard and pinch your finger/hand <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/baby.gif" alt="" />
