I'm talking corrected speedo. MY '01 trooper w/ auto and 4.3gears was around 2300 w/ 33s. I thought my first '95 w/ 5spd, 4.56, and 33s was around 2700. I'm trying to figure out why current '95 w/ stick and 33s is pulling more RPMS.

Well seems like Auto has much smaller RPMs then the stick, My friend has 96 Rodeo Auto and at about 80MPH he is under 3K with same speed I am over 3200

I just checked this yesterday (Friday), 2750 rpm @70 mph in overdrive (auto tranny), with and without cruise control. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
Sadly I had to get rid of my 1996 Trooper 3.2L due to a rusted frame. _________________________________________________

I'd like to lock it in OD for 70 mph + interstate hiway driving. Because the tranny wants to kick down to soon. My 3.4 pulls plenty good. Currently geared 4.55 with 33"
4L30E trannys have 0.72 overdrive and are taller geared than the 5 speed manuals.

i'm not sure why 2900 rpm is considered high for 70mph. i don't know why you think that is high. b/c with stock tires i was at 3500 or so. i don't know what i'm at now with my 265/75's
