My expereince is stick with ATF+, or Diamond SP which is what that refers to. Some people have found a reference to Dexron, which I thought was for power steering, but apparently its for the trans somewhere. Either way, even the older Mitsubishi Auto will work better with ATF+, or Diamond SP. +III seems to really work. I just changed out the "modified" Dexron crap a rebuild shop put in a year ago, yesterday, hoping to get rid of a minor performance problem. Another advantage? Other owners will carry ATF+ or Diamond SP during group runs on the trail.
