...if you started an Isuzu section within a larger 4x4 website in the mid-90s.
...if you started an Isuzu Off-Highway Event in Moab in 1998 and Zoo-keeper-ed the first 5 years of it.
...if you got frustrated with the management at the old website and helped found OutdoorWire/4x4Wire in late 1999.
...if you co-founded a non-profit corporation for Izuzu off-highway/social event in 2000/2001.
...if you spend hundreds of hours planning/preparing for Moab every year.
...if you make a trip to Isuzu Corporate at least every other year to try to get them more involved in our hobby in general and Moab 'Zu Zoo events, in particular.
...if you channel thousands of dollars and thousands of hours into 4x4Wire.com for years.
It has been a long road, but a mostly fun one! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I still enjoy logging onto the mail-list and the BBS. I still enjoy meeting people on the trail, and especially meeting people at the annual Moab 'Zu Zoo event.
The only regret that I have, after all these dollars, man-hours, and years, is that moderating, managing, overseeing, writing, traveling, etc. has sometimes interfered with my ability to work on *my* Isuzu. Slowly, but surely, I'm *still* getting things done, and I'm looking forward to attending Moab 'Zu Zoo VII this May with *my* Isuzu 4x4, instead of a borrowed promotional Isuzu or a rented Jeep. Don't worry about me, though, I have 'wheeled my Isuzu in AZ, CA, CO, ID, OR, WA, and UT and am looking forward to getting back into the swing of thousand-mile weekends for 'wheeling.
I think Simon and Garfunkel said it best: "Still crazy, after all these years."
