First, you need to have the photo hosted on the net somewhere, so that you can link to it. Then you just click on the 'Image" tag which is under 'Instant UBB Code" just below the window where you write your posts. You can then insert the link to your picture into the space provided, and you are set. Feel free to practice in the testing forum, as that is what it is for.

Good luck, and let us know if you have any problems.

The photos I have are all in my laptop I am using right now, which to me is not on the web because there is no link to them unless I pull them up. My photos may not work.
I am new to this site and some of your abbrev's are also new. Such as UBBCode and the others on the home page.

Thanks

Your photos have to be uploaded to a webserver. Places like webshots, ect. have them for free. The only problem with webshots is that they don't allow you to link the pictures. But you can still put a link to the page with the pictures. Once you have found a place that'll let you link them, under the "Instant UBB Code" (found under the box where you type your message) there is a button that says "image". Click it. It'll ask you for the link to the photo. It should take care of the rest.

To get your pictures online, first check if your ISP gives you free online space and if so, you should be able to upload pictures to it and then link to it on this forum.

If you don't have this ability, then you can try www.montypics.com or any pic site that allows you to link externally to your pictures. I use Montypics myself.

The owner (paul) lets you try it for a month or so for free then after that there's an annual fee of like $10-20 for a set amount of space.

Regardless of how you get your pics online using, once there, you can simply put the url of the photo between...
(remove the spaces)

or between
(remove the spaces)

and it will show your picture in the post.
