I am going to get some BFG Land Terrains tomorrow and wanted to know if I need get the P235 or the LT235?
I do 95% highway driving so I dont want an unnecessarily rough ride, but I also dont want a really thin tire that will easily puncture when I do venture off-road.
Thanks In Advance!

neither. 31x10.5 ok, ok, in the size you said, get the LT's. it's a much more durable tire by rating and by definition. if your butt can tell the difference in the smoothness of the ride, I shall heartily roll my eyes in your general direction

Thanks for the quick reply! neither. 31x10.5 I would I'm just scared about trimming and dont want tires to be rubbing stuff. I also dont want to do a crappy trimming job and you be able to see it. I wish the 2nd Gen Rodeo wheel wells were bigger...

The solution is to get LT235 load rate C (not D or E). It will provide good ride (much better that D or E) and it will be much stronger than P235.
LT tires are much more durable and they provide much better cornering becouse they have stiffer sidewalls than P tires. I'd never go back to P tires.
LT tires are more expensive initially but much cheaper in a long run: P tires requive continious repair and replacement, according to my experience. I had to fix or replace a P-tire almost every month, which was no fun and fairly expensive. But since I switched to LT tires, I've had no single problem so far (I have second set now) - no flats, not sidewall cuts, no sidewall bulbs.

I had a set of 255/70/16's on my second gen before I had any lift. With no rubbing at all. Just a thought. You should be able to get at least a 245/75/16 with no rubbing. You would be hard pressed to find too many off road tires in a 255.

I agree with the "c" rated option. I spent most (nearly 100%) of the time on-road and did not want a "hard" tire. After some searching, I found a "c" rated tire I was happy ($$$) with. Beware, your LT tire options do decrease once you limit yourself to a class other than D or E.

Thanks alot for the help.
The land terrains I am looking at are Load Range C.
Anyone had any experience with this tire before? I know BFG manufactures it exclusively for Wal-Mart, but I am not sure of how nice of a tire it is?

I am not sure that this is the case. I run 31s without any rubbing (265/70-16). Oleg Rodeo 2002 31s should run nicely on your truck. when i got mine it had 31s on it and i had no problems at all. no lift then either. Its just that the wheel wells on 2nd Gens are much smaller. Thanks anyway though.
