Getting the Wheeling Fever

I have a toyota locker 8 inch housing replacement carrier. I bought the axle for replacement parts. and when I pulled it apart it had a locker in it. does anyone have any idea what it is on www.nc4x4.com I have a picture posted of it it is listed in the axles and wheels section in the tech forums http://www.nc4x4.com/messageboard/index.php?board=19;action=display;threadid=5743how do I post a picture here or can I post a picture here?

well its not arb,,,,like the other posts on the other page said,,,,could be detroit or limited slip.

Are those the sides of clutch packs you can see through the openings?
I can tell it's not a Detroit Trutrac limited slip. Could be a locker, I don't know what they look like.

It's either a detroit or a truetrac-style limited slip. Can you get another picture down into that hole in the case? Here's a picture of the OTHER side of a detroit soft-locker. This is a newer style soft locker, so if that doesn't quite match, it still might be an older-stlye detroit. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.off-road.com/toyota/tech/detroit/0471.jpg)

hey guys I took it apart this morning, since I have to get it regeared anyway, and checked it out. it is for sure a detroit (bonus for me <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />)
it looked to be in good shape inside. the teeth weren't worn, or rounded, and everything seemed to work right. so I put it back together, and will have it set up with new gears this week.
