on www.nc4x4.com I have a picture posted of it it is listed in the axles and wheels section in the tech forums

http://www.nc4x4.com/messageboard/index.php?board=19;action=display;threadid=5743

It sure looks like a detroit to me. Score for you!

Are those the sides of clutch packs you can see through the openings?

I can tell it's not a Detroit Trutrac limited slip. Could be a locker, I don't know what they look like.

It's either a detroit or a truetrac-style limited slip. Can you get another picture down into that hole in the case?

Here's a picture of the OTHER side of a detroit soft-locker. This is a newer style soft locker, so if that doesn't quite match, it still might be an older-stlye detroit.

hey guys I took it apart this morning, since I have to get it regeared anyway, and checked it out. it is for sure a detroit (bonus for me <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />)

it looked to be in good shape inside. the teeth weren't worn, or rounded, and everything seemed to work right. so I put it back together, and will have it set up with new gears this week.

thanks for all the input
