I put my trailing arms back on a completely different way. With both of them off, one end of the lateral rod disconnected and the back of the frame on stands, I put a rolling floor jack under the diff pumpkin. Put in and bolted lightly the front of the trailing arms. Then jacked up the axle and scooted it around until I could easily push the bolts through - no tapping, hammering needed. The lateral rod was just as easy to reconnect - just jack up the axle. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
