I put the truck on jack stands...took off the wheels....
Unbolt one side of the t-bar and .....then...
The wife wants to go to dinner so.......

Dang you're slow. I was here right about then (6th hour of work:)

The key is to only use wrenches to take the tension off of the torsion bars. Everything else is removed via torch. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

After dinner last night, it was too dark and didn't want to disturb the neighbor so....

All the tension is taken off the torsion bars as soon as you jack it up and let the tires hang. Then just torch the bar being carefull of fuel lines and stuff.

Torch? ain't got that.

I got the upper A arms along with pitman arms off the steering box. Saw off one of the 4 brakets with zaw-all. Removed the D-shaft too. There's two diff supports with bushings in addition to the cross member in the front..I'd say IFS is pretty strong structure wise.....There's a lot of layers welded on the back lower arm brackets....... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

..I wish I know how to use a plasma cutter. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/baby.gif" alt="" />

Anyone in not far from Torrance know how to use one? wanna help?.. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Anyway, after church, went home and use zawsaw and cut it all off... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Next is the grinding...I guess.
