OK, if you got the transfer case out of 4WD and it was still behaving that way you definitely have one or both auto hubs stuck. Try TNToy's advice about driving foreward and backward with the T-case in 2WD in a straight line several times and you might get them to disengage. If they wont and the truck still acts weird I would have a friend drive you to get the parts. It's just a lot of strain on the driveline otherwise. And getting the answers should get you off the hook with the hubbie, your 4WD privileges should be reinstated! Tayo <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Before you run off to buy parts, crouch down under the front of the toyota and try to spin the axle shaft on both sides. It's got a big rubber boot around both ends of it, and comes out of the back of the center of the wheel. Both sides should spin freely, since they SHOULD be disconnected from the wheels by the locking hubs... if they won't spin, your front hubs are sticking in 4WD.

Have you figured out that auto locking hubs are horrible, HORRIBLE pieces of equipment yet? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
