I have a couple of questions. My transfer case is bad on my 88 4Runner 3.0 w/ A340H tranny,(doesn't engage front wheels and makes noise in conjunction with engine), can it be rebuilt? Does it have to have the entire transmission removed to rebuild it? Can I buy another transfer case and remove mine and put the new one on? I just don't know whether to buy an entire A340H or just a transfer case from one. I was considering putting on the maunual tranny and transfercase for it, but don't want to have to deal with the trouble light problem of the ECU reading my auto tranny. (I have one in the garage, maybe later) Any help appreciated. Regards.
