I just picked up a 1980 CJ7. It has a 4 speed tranny. Reverse is toward the driver and up. Does anybody know what tranny this is? Is it any good? It has a 4 cylinder engine if that helps.

It could be the T-4, or it could be something else...crawl under it take a look, maybe pics, then post or there are places online with pics of trannys. Take a look theres one on a precious post...i'll find it for ya <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
