Im rebuilding my front-end soon, I just ordered a bunch of parts from Allpro and Marlin. I just want to know if I got everything I will need.

Profields
Cro-Mo inner axles
knuckle rebuild kit
2 new wheel bearings kits
2 inner axle seals(as extras in case I mess one up putting it in)
2land cruiser front brake rotors
Knuckle Pull Scale
54mm Hub Socket

I also got a couple knuckle studs, Stud Nuts, Stud Split Washers, and Stud Cone Washers just in case I loss/break any of the ones I have.

Please let me know if im forgeting anything thanks....John <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Geez...no point in getting all them parts unless you are stocked up on the #1 most overlooked item to have on hand when playing the wrenches.

A couple of pounds of grease and I find these real handy:

MAGNETIC PARTS TRAYS

ò Holds small parts
ò Carry with you
ò Plastic protectors prevent scratches
ò SX7000M-6" Round Tray
ò SX7010M-9-1/2" x 5-1/2" Rectangular Tray
ò SX7040M- 11-3/4" x 11-3/4" x 1-1/4"

Thanks OOP'S, I was hoping you would chime in. What kind of grease should I use? Best place to get it?

I use a Extreme Pressure, Moly-Graph, GP Grease made by Sta-Lube seems to work. I do not have Birfields I have an eliminator kit hhat was built by RedLine, D-44 Warn alloy axles with Spicer 670X u-joints but I used the same grease when I did have Birfields!!!! Don't forget to put some grease on the lip of the axle seal before you put the axles in!!!!

Body Damage is Cool
once you go to IFS calipers your wheels may hit them. Wheel spacers may be needed. I am only running 1/4" on mine with minimal grinding on the caliper.

after doing this whole thing about 6 months ago i can tell you best advice, go generously on the moly grease. Really pack that crap in there. Oh and some other things of note would be a case of that dollar store orange oven cleaner so you can clean up the outside of the knuckle etc. Bolts go back on much better when they are clean!!!
