The '89 3.0 has more vacuum lines and an EGR valve as well as Multi-port fuel injection. In '90, they changed the fuel system to sequential multi-port, took away the EGR valve and therefore, much fewer vacuum lines to mess with. (and a different ECU)

Either way, I wouldn't pass up a good '89 Montero. It's still a great truck with an extremely reliable engine.

On the LSD, some of them have it. Open the driver's side door and look in the door jamb. If there is a bright orange sticker with black writing, it has the LSD rear.
