I replaced my fuel pump last week... Mine died on the highway in a similar fashion. I have a 91 rodeo w/a 3.1. Imagine how mad I was when I replaced the old fuel pump & found out the old one still worked when I straight wired it for a test. So.. I got some educational experiance out of the deal: The fuel pump will not get power if any number of other thing go wrong. Pull EVERY single fuse out & check it.. both under the hood & in the interior. My "Engine" fuse was blowing.. It was due to a wire harness that had pushed against the exhuast & caused a short. Check your turn signals & hazards.. a bad flasher relay can interrupt the circuit to the fuel pump (odd I know). You prob is likley electrical.. and will just be a matter of tracking it down. My wire harness prob took me all night to find & about 40 fuses. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/coolg.gif" alt="" />
