I have been considering using a SOHC 3.5L as a swap in for my 3.0L in the Mighty Max. However, I have no desire to run an auto. I'm wondering if I can use the 3.0L flywheel on the back of the 3.5L and keep my five speed (the V5MT1 is a pretty stout manual). I'll have to get ahold of the RPW guys on their forum, they know most of the answers to this stuff...

1994 3.0L 4x4 pickup.
4.62 gears (4.22 stock), 33x10.5 BFG MTs. LSD rear. Five speed trans. 172K
Previously owned Mitsubishis:
1986 2.6L 4x4 Mighty Max, 1985 2.6L 4x4 D50
1987 2.6L Raider, 1989 3.0L Raider
1995 Montero SR
