Well, it depends. If the ECU knows the O2 is out to lunch it may revert to base mode and you'll give up some power- maybe. But I'd be worried that it will run way too rich and cause some bad cylinder/ring wear.

Personally, I'd get an O2 bung welded on it and reinstall the O2 sensor just to be safe.
