Sounds like you already got it figured out. As long as the Ford springs are longer than the Yota's you should be set.

One thing to consider is the width of the Ranger springs. Obviously you'd be making new spring mounts to fit the front end of the Ranger springs, but would you have to make new wider/narrower shackles and shackle hangers? I guess it really all comes down to how much fabricating you want to do.
