Just remember that sometimes you can acess the alternator through the wheel well with the tire off.
That is actually the only way I could get the plug to completely snap in. After I had completely installed the alt, I was test driving and a few miles everything went dead, I went in through the passenger wheel well and found the plug was loose.

with my 3" body lift my alternator is very easily accessable through the wheel well. I really need to get some gap gaurds so mud cant get in there as easily.


Jon (Kuranosuke) - You wanna go in on that rubber material to make some gap gaurds? I get paid on the 5th.

Yep I was glad to have a 1" boty lift when I had to get to it from the side.

just got the alternator replaced. it took me and another guy less than 45 minutes, smoke break included. we were able to do everything from above. we just connected the wiring before bolting the new one in place.
