My '91 Trooper II 2.6 is mainly used for commuting, but this summer when I have more time, my daughter and I will use it to hit the mountains and do some light wheeling, hiking, and maybe some camping trips. Mine also does bus duty, Home Depot trips, etc. Plus, when the weather turns ugly, I make my wife leave her CR-V in the garage and we take my truck out when we need to go anywhere.

Plus, my truck lets me learn more about how cars/trucks work and lets me practice maintenance on it. You could say it's turned into something of a learning lab. My summer project for it will be installing A/C and doing a little front suspension work (flipping ball joins, spacers, etc.). If anyone has any hints or tips, please e-mail PM me.
