i've put.. uhh. 40k miles in 16 months? and it was "down" for 1 month while it was totalled and busy being reconstructed?

you guessed it - it's the all purpose vehicle for me.
pull the neighbory's stump out? sure. drive to work everyday? sure. help old work buddy move? sure. drive to utah for camping trip? got it. drive to CA for vacation? done it three times. snow sledding? done. run all the hardest trails in the AZ Wells' guidebook? done. with stock tires. tow friends' broke-ass vehicles when they're stuck? yeah. sleep inside the back, comfortably stretched out next to my girlfriend on a queen sized air mattress? every time! NOT sleep while in the back with my girlfriend on the queen sized mattress? more times than I can count. , learn to weld sheet metal? done that. kart building materials to mom's house for her exterior remodeling? oh yeah. and I sometimes even haul friends to the bar in the fool thing!

uhh... ok, so I don't race at F.I.R. in it.. but damn it's a versatile truck!!

Eric also uses his Troop to remind me why I got mine..but he actually uses his!!!! ..One day Eric... after welding practice and a day off!... As for mine, it is yard art, mechanics class, 401k?, kids play house, extra storage for all the crap my wife hates or thinks she told me to throw away, and better than doing drugs or drinking... or at least cheaper....maybe..

I've had my 86 for almost a year now and it has been used as a DD, grocery getter, moving van, wood hauler, farm machinery mover, and did a pretty good impression of a sleigh coming home from the in laws at Xmas. Let's go home over Nestucca, there can't be that much snow up there! The cheap crappy car tires I'm trying to wear out did really well considering I was climbing hills in a foot of snow at some points. Lately though I haven't had much of a chance at driving it as the wife takes off with it every day to go to work. I leave the house second so I'm out of luck. I need to "break" something on it so I can at least get it back to work on it for a day or two.

I hauled 4 sheets of 4x8 plywood this weekend. NO airbags, so I put my sons carseat up front. He loved it, and said "Daddy, there's a mirror out here" - pointing to side mirror.

This is my daily Daily Driver, since May of 1993. I'm only a 2 wheeler, so no offroad for me.
