This is a little OT, but since this thread has to do with matching spares, I was just wondering how many people have non-matching spares out there. Due to a shortage of funds when I put Geolanders on my truck, I only bought 4. I also went from the stock 245's to 265's, so my spare is a 245. I actually went by Big O' Tires the other day to fix a flat on my wife's car and was offered the opportunity to buy a used Goodyear 265 AT (not sure of the exact model) for $30 installed (I haven't purchased it yet). Had some pretty decent tread left on it and I'm thinking instead of paying another $90+ for a new tire that may never get used or get used for only a short period of time, is it worth it to just buy used? Any safey issues? Am I being just plain silly (with a 6 year old son, I frequently substitute the word silly for the word stupid, by the way)?

Thoughts?
