 shop manual recommendation?

can someone please recommend a good shop manual for 1994 4wd pick up? I bought something called the Toyota truck bible for toyota trucks that's just about worthless. It's published by Bentley who's supposed to have good manuals, but it sucks.. thanks

Don't feel bad, my friend did the same thing for me on my birthday, thinking that was a shop manual, I had to smile, nod and accept (even though I am thinking what a worthless piece of crap). Hey it's the thought that counts right??? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Best bet, look on ebay for a used factory shop manual or go to the dealer and buy one.

I usually get the manufacturer's manual for my vehicles, used, either on ebay, CD scan, or copy. But more times than not, I use the $15 Haynes manual. Small,simple, usually enough.

I have had pretty good luck with alldata as well. The only catch is you have to use the computer to look at everything. Their diagrams can be lacking and its a little hard to navigate, but from what I have seen the procedures match the fsm (only compared a couple of things). You can check them out at www.alldatadiy.com

I used a Haynes for years. I'm now a convert to the Toyota FSM; got it off ebay. The detail can't be beat, plus as surlyn pointed out in another thread, you get all the part numbers for available SSTs.

If you are serious, I have a 94 shop manual if you really want it. Sold mine to the mother-in-law and that way won't have to work on it for her.

And so is the Toyota FSM (Factory Service Manual). Chiltons, Bentley, et al, are limited and just for those that don't want to justify the pricey (but thorough) Toyota FSMs.

How much will a 95 manual help me as a 98 owner? I've never seen a 98 manaul on Ebay, any other ideas?
