Getting the Wheeling Fever
Can anyone recommend a grease for the Hi-Lift to prevent rusting when stored on my rack? I've dried it off after my last offroad trip, but couldn't think of what to get. Thanks.

I use a ski binding cover zipped over the working part of mine. Keeps the bulk of the wet and dirt off it and then just apply some light spray oil periodically as needed.

Mine is in front of my hood and stays surprisingly clean. I use a shot of WD40 before using it.

I'd go with the suggestion above, some WD40 once in awhile and it should keep faithful for years to come.

I found that most petrol based products seemed to attract dirt. I give mine a spray of a wax/teflon concoction made for mountain bike chains. I give it a shot every oil change and no caked on dirt or rust so far.
