Several guys were discussing the need to clean the IAC to help with the idle speed. Ever since I have had my truck (95 T100 4x2 V6 MT) the truck has run at 2000rpm at startup. It only lasts for 10 to 20 seconds and then drops to around 1500 to 1750rpm. This lasts until the truck begins to warm up and then gradually drops to 750 rpm where the truck usually idles. I have never had problems starting the truck. I have made the idle change by messing with a something near the throttle body, but I really didn't know what I was doing so I adjusted it back to where it was. Is this normal? Does this sound like a bad IAC? I looked in the Haynes manual last night and there is a procedure to check the IAC but I thought I would ask before I go through the exercise. Any help would be appreciated.
