A quart of oil a week is really bad. how many miles does she have on it?

that is about 2 quarts of oil a tank.

have you been measuring it or has she?

she might want to switch to full synthetic if she already hasnt.
if you really want to check it, get a manual, and pull the spark plugs. They have pics in the manual what a good spark plug should look like.
