Yep, that's what I did. I took some axle grease and schmeared it on the sides of the springs(don't need to take them apart. You don't even need alot. Then wrap the springs in duct tape to keep the dirt out while the grease works in. Drive around for a week or so and the grease will work itself in. then remove the duct tape and wipe the excess grease off the springs. All done!
