Joel, I took it to Butler at 96th and Keystone just down from that familiar lightpole of yours. However I had purchased an extended warranty from Tom Wood(westside) back in late '99 that covered 7 years and 75,000. So with 2 seat belt assembly replacements and this tach pod, I'm just about even. Unless you too had such coverage, I doubt you will get it for free. However I am not the Great Carnack and it might be worth a try if you still have any available warranty left. Also the T-100 D-light is not a bulb from what I was told. It is an LED on a circuit board and is not as easy as "screw in a new one". The mechanic said I would have to desolder the old and resolder a new one if I didn't fry the printed-circuit board in the process. I wouldn't recommend soldering this sucker with a Radio Shack iron either. I was expecting to use a fairly stout component iron (20W min.) with multiple heat sinks on the leads if I even had that much lead-length to work with. If this turned out to be flush-mount/wave-soldered then I was going to have to get a lot more creative. Brew
p.s.- The mechanic said the only vehicles he sees with this D-light failure are T-100s and Camrys. Hummmmm
