It always amuses me how many answers will appear regarding the oil capacity of the 3.4.
Andreas Yea, but I got a good laugh out of this: Manual says 6.5 quarts w/ filter but I always end up using 6 and 1/2. LMAO, you got me on that one. When I use the oil gun at work it measures it in 1/2 quarts, so when I said that I was thinking about 1/2 of 1/2 a quart...or a 1/4. So my tacoma takes 6.25 or 6 1/4 quarts of oil at the line, but I went back to the owners manual and never could find that 6.5 quart figure. What I THINK it says is 5.7 quarts with a filter, but the way they wrote it was weird.

That's impossible. It's usually in the first pages, they list the capacities of every reservoir, differencials, etc... Mine is near the end.

manual says 5.4 liters (2003 v6) i use 6 liters and usually its full
