I might know what you are up against. I had a problem with my amigo stalling out every now and then for no reason, then restart, or sometimes not restart. The dealer never got to see it when it wasn't working. I knew it was something electrical, turns out it was the camshaft positioning sensor had a short. So that may work for ya, fixed mine fine.
