Back in the early 90's I had to lift my Raider 2" to get clearance for the larger bell housing on the Ford C6 transmission. I couldn't find a commercially available lift kit so I used the following to do it: 2 inch outside diameter PVC pipe cut to 2 inch length. I went to the local hardware and found some 1 3/4" flat washers that fit perfectly inside the pipe. I stacked up 2" of washers and then ran a piece of 1/2 black water pipe through the holes in the washers. I then stuck the washer assembly inside the PVC pipe and siliconed the snot out of it to keep water out. End result was a solid 2" lift that I never need to worry about cracking or breaking like the fiberglass or urethane blocks can do. Even better the total cost to do the lift was only around 30 dollars. I also bought appropriate length hardened bolts needed to resecure the body to the frame.
