I just purchased a '93 4Runner and was wanting some information about the different suspension lifts out there. I am not wanting to do a SAS, just a 4" lift to the IFS, ProComp and Superlift are the two I have seen the most info on, but neither of the two have much info of what their kits contain. Anyway, who has what lift and what do you think of it? Thanks.

Check out 4Wheel parts at http://www.4wheelparts.com

Here is a link to the Superlift for your 4Runner: http://www.4wheelparts.com/product2.asp?imseqn=493&occlass=SUP&cat=SUS

Couldn't find a direct link to the Procomp lift, but I know they sell it.

I know a lot of the guys on the board here will tell you to save your money and do a SAS, but if you don't want to do that, then the 4" lift is the best bet. If you don't want that large of a lift (or don't want to spend close to $1000 for the suspension lift), you could always do a small body lift 1" - 2" (get one from Roger Brown on the board here.. name is 4Crawler) and coil spacers or longer coils in the rear, and crank the torsion bars in the front (beware of this though... cranking too much will cause you to tear them if you take it offroading!)

Hope this helps.

Edit: Also watch the For Sale forum on this site. I know a lot of guys sell their suspension kits when they do SAS... so if you go that route it will be cheaper for you.

There's also the 1-2" body lift plus ball joint spacers. That's cheap, gives you more travel and flex than the t-bar crank. I'd call the combintion a 3" lift.

I've installed the SL kit and found it very well made, very complete and easy to install. It's the one I would recommend if someone were planning a 4" lift. Period.

I'll second the SL kit. I have the Trailmaster and should have gotten the SL.

I have the pro comp II and it is ok, but it depends what you are planning to do with it. I put mine on not knowing I was gonna get addicted to wheeling. I will be doing a sas this spring/summer and will be selling mine. It has all the front for your 4runner, but the rears you would have to find new coils or spacers. I will also be selling my ifs front third with 5.29's and lockrite. I will post when it's ready.
