The only factory locker that MIGHT fit the Gen I (still not 100% sure on this), is the one found in the '92-'93 Gen II SR with the 3.0L motor.

It wont fit..the 92/93 lockers use the same larger axles and diff same as a 3.5. I know I have a complete locking 3rd member out of a 93 sitting in my garage. We were going to put it in my buddies 95 LS 3.0 until we discovered it was too big , but all is well he just put in an arb instead .

Are you sure you didnt goof and get a later year model diff? People have swaped a sr axle before with the 92-93's.

I am pretty sure they both, locked and unlocked, have the same size diff.

The main difference is the locker axles arent the same length on both side.

I know of such swap been done. 92-93 Montero with locker used same axles as ones without. The real problem is finding one. They are pretty much nonexistent. I've seen one on eBay once. That's it. ARB is the way to go.

I know a salvage auction that has two rolled 95s. I'll bet they go for cheap. Problem is it's six states away...
