I've run both batteries. The specs on the Optimas are very confusing, because they keep changing them. There used to be rated pretty high, but then they modified them and lowered the CCA and the capacity. I was told several different stories including that the new parent company required them to lower the specs for some reason, or that they no longer use virgin lead in thier batteries.

Now that I've looked at their specs, it looks like they changed back to the old ratings. So, I'll bet some of the batteries with the lower ratings are still on store shelves. Avoid any yellowtops with CCA ratings of 650. The orginal and current yellowtop rating is 750 and that is plenty to work a winch. The yellowtop and red capacity and CCA is pretty close, but the yellowtop has a slight advantage and will last much longer when repeatedly discharged. But it's also much more expensive than a red top.
