Getting the Wheeling Fever

I was looking at some rubber parts on my truck, over the weekend, and noticed a lot of the rubber is starting to rot. Is it ok to use a Silicone spray-lubricate on rubber parts?
I E, drive-shaft boots, A-Arm bushings, Suspension parts or just anything rubber to help preserve it. I have not done anything yet, but wanted to ask.
